Who We Are

We’re Little Green Bucket, Albuquerque’s first and only curbside compost collection service! Since 2018, we’ve helped Albuquerque (& Rio Rancho & Corrales) compost over 3 million pounds of food waste. Composting is great for the environment – but not everyone has the time or space to dedicate to it. That’s where we come in! With multiple service options, we make it super easy to divert your food scraps away from the landfill and put them to use in our local soils instead.

How It Works

1. Fill it up.

Collect your food scraps in your Little Green Bucket.

2. Leave it out.

On your scheduled collection day, put your Little Green Bucket outside. We’ll pick it up & leave you a clean one.

3. Compost happens!

After pre-screening for contaminants, we’ll haul your food scraps to our compost facility in downtown Albuquerque to be transformed into garden-ready compost.
