LittleGreenBucket.com is run by Albuquerque Compost Collection, LLC, a plucky little composting service in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Our statement of intent regarding privacy

We won’t bore you with a lengthy wall of legalese and technical jargon, the way most privacy policies do. Even if we had the time to write it up once, we definitely don’t have the time to keep it up to date as we experiment with different technologies and tools on our website.

Instead, we’ll give you this simple statement of our intent:

We take web security VERY seriously, especially when it comes to customer payment information. Our site runs entirely over HTTPS. We use a top-notch web host and install security updates promptly. We use third-party payment processors trusted by some of the largest e-commerce sites in the world, and we don’t store customer credit/debit card info in any of our own systems.
We don’t SPAM. We only email people who have asked to be added to our mailing list. We don’t share our list with anyone. Even though everyone we email has opted in, we also try to find the sweet spot between emailing so often it’s annoying and emailing so rarely that potential members forget we exist. We comply fully with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and do our best to observe bulk email best practices.
We only directly collect information from website visitors and members when it is essential to the provision of our compost collection service. However, like most e-commerce sites, our website does rely on a number of third-party tools that likely leave cookies galore and collect all sorts of metadata. When given the option, we always choose to have your metadata anonymized.
